Health Care Consumer Assistance Program (HCCAP)

What is HCCAP?

The HCCAP program assists individuals with disabilities with health care and insurance matters.

HCCAP is supported by funding received by NJP&A from:

• U.S. Department of Health and Human Services/Administration on Developmental Disabilities (PADD)/Center for Mental Health Services (PAIMI); and

• U.S. Department of Education/Rehabilitation Services Administration (PAIR, CAP)/National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (ATAC).

The HCCAP program at NJP&A provides comprehensive protection and advocacy services, including targeted outreach to traditionally underserved minority groups, and addresses individual and systemic issues by providing:

Who is Eligible for PAIR Services?

All individuals with disabilities and their families or representatives are eligible for HCCAP's services.

You can seek assistance from HCCAP if you:

HCCAP also pursues systems advocacy to identify and address deficiencies in the health care and insurance systems that provide services to individuals with disabilities.
