Catastrophic Illness in Children Relief Fund was created to provide financial assistance to families whose children have experienced an illness or condition, which is not fully covered by a state or federal program or private insurance, and have unpaid medical bills. To be eligible, you must have lived in New Jersey for at least three months immediately before the date of your application and have incurred health care expenses exceeding 10% of your family income (plus 15% of any income over $100,000). Also, the bills must have been incurred when the child is 18 years or younger.
